Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Hibiscus Infusion
Boil 2 cups of distilled water in a saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the dried hibiscus flowers. Allow the mixture to steep for 15-20 minutes until it cools down.
- 2
Strain the Mixture
Once cooled, strain the hibiscus infusion through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean bowl, discarding the solids.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the hibiscus infusion with aloe vera gel, jojoba oil, vitamin E oil, and honey. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- 4
Store the Peel
Transfer the mixture into a clean glass jar or bottle. Seal tightly and store in the refrigerator. The peel can be used for up to one week.
- 5
Application
Before applying, do a patch test to ensure no allergic reactions. Apply a thin layer of the hibiscus peel onto clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 10-15 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.
