Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Begin by slicing the tomato into thin slices and set aside. Also, slice the cheddar and American cheese if not pre-sliced.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the hardwood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of sourdough bread. On the unbuttered side, layer the hickory smoked ham, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, American cheese, and tomato slices.

  4. 4

    Grill the Sandwich

Top with another slice of sourdough bread, mayonnaise side down. Heat the skillet over medium-low heat and add the butter. Once melted, place the sandwich in the skillet.

  5. 5

    Cook Until Golden

Cook the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Press down gently with a spatula to ensure even cooking.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice in half if desired, and serve hot.
