Preparation Steps

   Heat the Milk

   In a small saucepan, heat the whole milk over medium heat until it is warm but not boiling.

   Mix Dry Ingredients

   In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.

   Combine Mixtures

   Once the milk is warm, gradually whisk the dry mixture into the saucepan. Stir until fully dissolved.

   Add the chopped dark chocolate and continue to stir until melted and smooth.

   Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
