Pulled Pork Melt Directions
1. Prepare the Bacon
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside. Leave the bacon grease in the skillet.
2. Toast the Bread
In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of butter. Place two slices of sourdough bread in the skillet and toast until golden brown on one side. Flip the bread and add 2 slices of American cheese on top of each. Continue to cook until the cheese begins to melt.
3. Add Pulled Pork
While the cheese is melting, mix the pulled pork with BBQ sauce in a bowl. Once the cheese is melted, add the BBQ pulled pork on top of the cheese.
4. Add Bacon and Top with Bread
Crumble the cooked bacon over the pulled pork, then top with the other toasted sourdough slices (toasted side down).
5. Grill the Sandwich
Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet and carefully flip the sandwich. Grill until the bottom is golden brown, then carefully flip again to grill the other side until golden and the cheese is fully melted.
6. Serve
Remove from the skillet, cut in half, and serve warm.
