Prepare the Apples
Wash and core the fresh apples. Cut them into quarters and place them in a large pot.

Cook the Mixture
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cover the pot and cook for about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft.

Mash and Strain
Use a potato masher to mash the apples into a pulp. After mashing, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into another pot, discarding the solid apple pulp.
