Method

Preparing the Fish

  1. 1

    Season the Fillets

Pat the salmon or sea bass fillets dry with paper towels. Rub each fillet with olive oil, and season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F). If using a grill pan on the stove, heat it over medium-high heat and add a little more olive oil to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

    Grill the Fish

Place the seasoned fish fillets on the grill. Grill for about 4-6 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.

Making Aguachile Sauce

  1. 4

    Blend Ingredients

In a blender, combine lime juice, cilantro leaves, jalapeños, and salt. Blend until smooth.

  2. 5

    Prepare Vegetables

In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced cucumber, red onion, and diced avocado. Toss gently to mix.

  3. 6

    Combine with Sauce

Pour the blended aguachile sauce over the vegetable mixture. Toss until everything is well coated.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Place the grilled fish fillets on a serving plate. Add a generous serving of the aguachile sauce and vegetable mixture on top of the fish.

  2. 8

    Enjoy!

Serve immediately while the fish is still warm, and enjoy your delicious grilled salmon or sea bass with aguachile sauce.
