Method
Preparing the Fries
- 1
Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- 2
Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 3
After soaking, drain and pat the fries dry with paper towels.
- 4
In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Carefully add the fries in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.
- 6
Remove the fries and drain them on paper towels. Immediately sprinkle with salt.
Adding Toppings
- 7
Drizzle with Truffle Oil
While the fries are still hot, drizzle the black truffle oil over the fries evenly.
- 8
Add Parmesan Cheese
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese generously over the fries.
- 9
Garnish with Herbs
Finish by adding the chopped fresh parsley and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
