Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F). This allows the cake to bake evenly.
- 2
Prepare Ramekins
Generously spray four ramekins with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place them on a baking tray for easy handling.
- 3
Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together in a microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
Mixing Ingredients
- 4
Combine Sugar and Eggs
In a separate large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and eggs until the mixture is pale and slightly thickened.
- 5
- 6
- 7
Incorporate Flour
Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Baking the Cakes
- 8
Fill Ramekins
Evenly distribute the batter into the prepared ramekins, filling them about 3/4 full to allow space for rising.
- 9
Bake
Place the baking tray with ramekins in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is soft.
- 10
Cool Slightly
Once baked, remove the ramekins from the oven and let them cool for 1-2 minutes. This will help set the molten center.
