Main Ingredients

Spices and Seasoning

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Ingredients

Begin by cutting the lamb into bite-sized cubes. Dice the onion, bell pepper, and tomatoes. Mince the garlic. Slice the carrots and cube the potatoes.

  2. 2

    Heat Oil

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté Vegetables

Add the diced onion to the pot and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1 minute.

  2. 4

    Brown the Lamb

Add the lamb cubes to the pot. Cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 5

    Add Remaining Ingredients

Add the diced bell pepper, tomatoes, sliced carrots, and cubed potatoes to the pot. Stir well.

  4. 6

    Season the Dish

Sprinkle in the salt, black pepper, paprika, cumin, and add the bay leaves. Mix thoroughly to combine the spices with the meat and vegetables.

  5. 7

    Simmer

Pour in enough water to cover the ingredients and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for about 45 minutes, or until the lamb is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.

Finishing Touch

  1. 8

    Garnish

Remove the pot from heat. Discard the bay leaves and stir in the chopped parsley for freshness.

  2. 9

    Serve

Serve hot, ideally with a side of bread or rice.
