Trout Marinade

For Serving

Method

Marinating the Trout

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Trout

Place the whole trout fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the fish, ensuring it is well coated. Cover with plastic wrap or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for a deeper flavor.

Grilling the Trout

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).

  2. 4

    Prepare the Grill Grate

Lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking.

  3. 5

    Grill the Trout

Remove the trout from the marinade and shake off any excess. Place the fillets skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 5-7 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 6

    Remove from Grill

Once cooked, carefully remove the trout from the grill using a spatula. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Serving the Dish

  1. 7

    Prepare the Side

While the trout is resting, prepare your side of cooked rice or a fresh mixed salad.

  2. 8

    Serve

Place the grilled trout fillet on a plate alongside your choice of rice or salad. Garnish with additional parsley and a lemon wedge if desired.
