Preparation
- 1
Strain the Yogurt
Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl and line it with cheesecloth or a clean kitchen towel. Pour the plain yogurt into the strainer and let it drain in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight until it reaches a thick, creamy consistency.
- 2
Prepare the Dill and Garlic
While the yogurt is draining, finely chop the fresh dill and mince the garlic cloves. Set aside.
- 3
Mix Ingredients
Once the yogurt has drained, transfer it to a mixing bowl. Add the chopped dill, minced garlic, chopped walnuts, and olive oil. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
- 4
Season
Add salt to taste and mix well. Adjust seasoning as desired.
- 5
Chill and Serve
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled as a dip or spread.
