Method

Prepare the Chicken Kebabs

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, combine the chicken breast (cut into cubes) with plain yogurt, minced garlic, cumin powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and olive oil. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.

  2. 2

    Skewering the Chicken

After marinating, thread the chicken pieces onto skewers, making sure to leave space between each piece for even cooking.

  3. 3

    Grilling

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the chicken skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through and slightly charred.

Make the Homemade Bread

  1. 4

    Prepare the Dough

In a bowl, mix warm water with yeast and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy. In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour, mixing until you form a dough.

  2. 5

    Knead and Rise

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth. Place it in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  3. 6

    Bake the Bread

Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F). Roll out the risen dough into flatbreads and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and crisp.

Prepare the Tomato Sauce

  1. 7

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.

  2. 8

    Make the Sauce

Add canned tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and sugar to the pan. Simmer for about 15 minutes until thickened. Blend smooth if desired.

Assemble and Serve

  1. 9

    Combine and Serve

On a plate, place a piece of the crunchy homemade bread, top it with grilled chicken kebabs, pour over the tomato sauce, and drizzle melted butter on top. Serve with a generous dollop of plain yogurt and garnish with fresh parsley.
