Cooking the Beef

Prepare the Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula.

Season the Beef
Drain any excess grease. Add salt, black pepper, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder to the beef. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes to combine the flavors.
Making the Burrito Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine the tomato sauce, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Heat the Sauce
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
Assembling the Burritos

Fill the Tortillas
Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface. On each tortilla, add a scoop of seasoned ground beef, a spoonful of refried beans, some lettuce, tomatoes, and a sprinkle of Colby cheese.

Fold the Burritos
Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top. Make sure the filling is sealed inside.

On a serving plate, add a portion of Spanish rice, a side of mild salsa, hot salsa, and tortilla chips.

Place the burritos on the plate and drizzle with the homemade burrito sauce. Serve warm.
