Prepare Burger Patty

Shape the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.

Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt.
Prepare Toppings

Prepare Lettuce and Tomato
Wash the lettuce leaves and pat dry. Slice the tomato into thick slices.

Slice pickles if not pre-sliced.
Toast the Buns

Butter the Buns
Spread butter on the cut sides of each hamburger bun.

Build the Burger
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
