Fettuccine Alfredo Ingredients
Method
Fettuccine Alfredo Directions
- 1
Cook the Fettuccine
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta and set aside.
- 2
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- 3
Add Cream
Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer gently for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. This will help thicken the sauce.
- 4
Incorporate Cheese
Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and smooth. Continue to stir until the sauce is creamy and well combined.
- 5
Season the Sauce
Add salt and black pepper to the sauce, adjusting to taste. Mix well to ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
- 6
Combine with Fettuccine
Add the drained fettuccine pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy sauce.
- 7
Serve
Remove from heat and transfer the Fettuccine Alfredo to serving plates. Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve immediately.
