Method
Preparing the Coffee Mixture
Brew the Coffee
Brew 1 cup of strong coffee and allow it to cool slightly.
Combine Ingredients
In a shallow dish, mix the brewed coffee, coffee liqueur, and granulated sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
Preparing the Cream Mixture
Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar until soft peaks form.
Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined. Add vanilla extract and mix gently.
Assembling the Tiramisu
Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, making sure they soak without becoming too soggy.
Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, layer half of the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom.
Add Cream Layer
Spread half of the cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
Repeat Layers
Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers and cream mixture.
Chill
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Serve and Garnish
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder using a fine sieve.
