Method

Steak Marinade

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and black pepper. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the steak tips in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak tips, ensuring they are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 3

    Cook the Steak

Remove the steak tips from the marinade and discard the marinade. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak tips for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and mushrooms. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender and lightly caramelized.

Potato Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes if desired. Boil in salted water for 15-20 minutes or until fork-tender. Drain and serve as desired (mashed, roasted, or baked).

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Dinner

On each plate, place the cooked steak tips, sautéed vegetables, and your choice of potatoes. Serve with warm dinner rolls on the side.
