For House Fries
Method
Preparation of Turkey and Roast Beef
Warm the Meats
In a pan over medium heat, place the turkey breast and roast beef together. Warm them for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until heated through.
Assembling the Sandwich
Prepare the Bread
Take 2 slices of marbled bread and spread 1 tablespoon of Thousand Island dressing on one side of each slice.
Layer the Ingredients
On one slice of bread (dressing side up), layer the warmed turkey breast, roast beef, and place the Swiss cheese on top. Cover with the second slice of bread (dressing side down).
Grilling the Sandwich
Grill the Sandwich
Heat a non-stick pan or grill over medium heat. Place the assembled sandwich on the grill and press down gently. Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Preparing House Fries
Cut Potatoes
Wash and cut the potatoes into thin strips (fries).
Fry the Potatoes
Heat oil in a deep frying pan or fryer to 180°C (350°F). Carefully add the cut potatoes in batches and fry for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden and crispy. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.
Serving
Plate the Dish
Slice the grilled sandwich in half and serve it alongside a generous portion of house fries.
