Fries

Chili (optional)

Method

Cooking the Fries

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat the vegetable oil in a deep-fryer or large pot to 180°C (356°F).

  2. 2

    Fry the Fries

Carefully add the frozen French fries to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, approximately 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Season with salt to taste.

Assembling the Loaded Fries

  1. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

On a large serving platter or individual plates, layer the hot fries evenly.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese and Bacon

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the fries, followed by the crumbled bacon.

  3. 6

    Melt the Cheese

Place the loaded fries under a broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep a close eye to avoid burning.

  4. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven and serve immediately with a side of sour cream.

Optional Chili Topping

  1. 8

    Cook the Chili

In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.

  2. 9

    Add Remaining Ingredients

Add the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well and simmer for 10-15 minutes until heated through.

  3. 10

    Serve with Chili

For an additional $3.00, spoon chili over the loaded cheese fries before serving.
