Method
Chicken Preparation
- 1
Marinate Chicken
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
- 2
Prepare Breading
In a shallow dish, place the all-purpose flour. You can add additional spices to the flour if desired for extra flavor.
- 3
Heat Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Use a kitchen thermometer to check the temperature.
- 4
Bread and Fry Chicken
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour, pressing lightly to adhere. Carefully place the chicken in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
