Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Start by ensuring your baked potatoes are completely cooled. Dice them into small, uniform cubes, about 1-inch in size, to ensure even cooking.

Frying

  1. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a large deep frying pan or skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 3

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the diced potatoes to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  3. 4

    Drain and Season

Once fried, remove the potatoes with a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels. Immediately sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and paprika while hot.

Serving

  1. 5

    Optional Additions

If desired, top with grilled onions for an old-fashioned style or drizzle with hot sauce for an extra kick. Serve immediately while hot.
