Method

Fried Haddock

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breading Station

In three separate shallow dishes, place the flour, beaten eggs mixed with milk, and a mixture of cornmeal, salt, and pepper.

  2. 2

    Bread the Haddock

Dip each haddock fillet first in flour, then in the egg mixture, and finally in the cornmeal mixture, ensuring they are well coated.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  4. 4

    Fry the Haddock

Carefully place the breaded haddock fillets into the hot oil. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Sandwich Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare the Rolls

Slice each bulky roll in half and lightly toast them on a grill or in a toaster.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Sandwich

Place a fried haddock fillet on the bottom half of each roll, add a lettuce leaf, and generously spread tartar sauce on top. Close the sandwich with the top half of the roll.

French Fries

  1. 7

    Cook the Fries

Prepare the frozen French fries according to the package instructions, either by baking or frying them.
