Prepare the Breading Station
In three separate shallow dishes, place the flour, beaten eggs mixed with milk, and a mixture of cornmeal, salt, and pepper.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Fry the Haddock
Carefully place the breaded haddock fillets into the hot oil. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Rolls
Slice each bulky roll in half and lightly toast them on a grill or in a toaster.

Assemble the Sandwich
Place a fried haddock fillet on the bottom half of each roll, add a lettuce leaf, and generously spread tartar sauce on top. Close the sandwich with the top half of the roll.

Prepare the frozen French fries according to the package instructions, either by baking or frying them.
