Method

Preparing the Omelette

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until fully combined and slightly frothy.

  2. 2

    Cook the Omelette

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or oil to coat the pan. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

As the eggs start to set, place the slices of American cheese on one half of the omelette. Allow it to melt slightly.

  4. 4

    Fold and Serve

Once the omelette is cooked through, fold it in half and slide it onto a plate. Keep warm while you prepare the home fries.

Cooking Home Fries

  1. 5

    Prepare Potatoes

Wash and dice the potatoes into small cubes. No need to peel them for added texture.

  2. 6

    Sauté Onions

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté until translucent.

  3. 7

    Cook Potatoes

Add the diced potatoes to the skillet with onions. Season with paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

  4. 8

    Fry Until Golden

Cook the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Preparing the Toast

  1. 9

    Toast the Bread

While the home fries are cooking, toast the slices of bread to your desired crispness.

  2. 10

    Butter the Toast

Spread butter on the hot toast and serve alongside the omelette and home fries.
