Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s hot enough to bake the muffins evenly.
- 2
Prepare the Muffin Tin
Grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or line it with muffin liners to prevent sticking.
Mixing Ingredients
- 3
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- 4
- 5
Blend Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are fine.
Baking
- 6
Fill Muffin Tin
Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- 7
Bake
Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 8
Cool
Once baked, remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
