Method

Chicken Tenders

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into strips and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Batter

In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until well combined.

  4. 4

    Coat the Chicken

Dip each chicken strip into the batter mixture, then into the egg mixture, and back into the batter mixture to ensure a thick coating.

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken strips in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

French Fries

  1. 6

    Prep the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips.

  2. 7

    Soak the Fries

Soak the fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan. Fry the soaked fries in batches until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt immediately after frying.

Coleslaw

  1. 9

    Prepare the Vegetables

Shred the green cabbage and grate the carrot.

  2. 10

    Mix the Dressing

In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 11

    Combine and Chill

Add the shredded cabbage and grated carrot to the dressing and mix well. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Dinner Rolls

  1. 12

    Heat the Rolls

Warm the dinner rolls in the oven according to package instructions.

Onion Rings

  1. 13

    Prepare the Onion

    Slice the onion into rings.

  2. 14

    Make the Batter

In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, cornmeal, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 15

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.

  4. 16

    Coat the Onion Rings

Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture.

  5. 17

    Fry the Onion Rings

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan. Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
