Method

Preparing the Salad Base

  1. 1

    Wash and Chop Vegetables

Wash the romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, and red onion under cold water. Chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces, halve the cherry tomatoes, slice the cucumber, grate or julienne the carrot, and thinly slice the red onion.

  2. 2

    Combine Salad Ingredients

In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber, grated carrots, and sliced red onion. Toss gently to mix.

Preparing the Protein

  1. 3

    Select Protein

Choose your preferred protein option from ham, turkey, roast beef, tuna, grilled chicken, marinated steak tips, or grilled shrimp. If opting for grilled chicken, marinated steak tips, or grilled shrimp, ensure they are pre-cooked.

  2. 4

    Slice or Portion Protein

If using ham, turkey, roast beef, or tuna, slice or flake the protein into bite-sized pieces and add to the salad. If using grilled chicken, steak tips, or shrimp, slice into bite-sized pieces as well before adding.

Finishing Touches

  1. 5

    Add Dressing

Drizzle your choice of salad dressing over the salad. Start with a small amount, as you can always add more to taste.

  2. 6

    Toss and Serve

Gently toss the salad to combine the dressing evenly throughout the ingredients. Serve immediately.
