Peanut Sauce Dressing
Method
Preparing the Salad
- 1
Chop the Vegetables
Rinse and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Slice the cherry tomatoes in half. Peel and slice the cucumber into thin rounds. Thinly slice the red onion.
- 2
Prepare the Eggs
Peel the hard-boiled eggs and cut them into quarters or slices, depending on your preference.
Making the Peanut Sauce Dressing
- 3
Mix the Ingredients
In a bowl, combine the peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic (or pressed), and water. Whisk until smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add more water, one tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
- 4
Add Heat
Stir in red pepper flakes to taste, adjusting based on your heat preference.
Assembling the Salad
- 5
Combine the Ingredients
In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion.
- 6
Top with Eggs
Gently place the sliced hard-boiled eggs on top of the salad.
- 7
Dress the Salad
Drizzle the peanut sauce dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine all ingredients. Adjust seasoning as desired.
