Chicken Wings
Sweet Chili Sauce
Method
Chicken Wings Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps to remove excess moisture for a crispier finish.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss the chicken wings in the mixture until they are fully coated.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large, deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. The oil should be hot enough that a small piece of bread sizzles when dropped in it.
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 8-10 minutes per batch. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wings and place them on paper towels to drain the excess oil.
Sweet Chili Sauce Preparation
- 5
Mix the Sauce Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, and minced garlic. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- 6
Serve
Serve the fried chicken wings hot, drizzled or dipped in the sweet chili sauce.
