Simmer
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 20 minutes to extract the flavors.

Strain
Remove from heat and strain the liquid through a fine sieve to remove the mushrooms. Set the infused liquid aside to cool.
Maple Mixture

Combine Ingredients
In a small saucepan, combine the pure maple syrup, unsalted butter, and vanilla extract over low heat.

Melt and Mix
Stir continuously until the butter is melted and the mixture is well combined. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
Candy Coating

Prepare Coating
In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar, cornstarch, and sea salt. Mix well to ensure even distribution.

Shape and Coat
Using your hands, shape the mixture into small bite-sized balls and roll them in the sugar coating to ensure they are well covered.

Place the coated balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let them set for at least 30 minutes.
