Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sauce

In a medium saucepan, combine gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, tomato sauce, and water. Stir well to combine.

  2. 2

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the sauce mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Allow it to cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

  3. 3

    Add the Eggs

Make four small wells in the sauce and carefully crack an egg into each well. Cover the saucepan and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still runny.

  4. 4

    Garnish

Once the eggs are cooked to your liking, remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the gochujang eggs in purgatory hot, alongside slices of milk bread for dipping.
