Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a rocks glass or coupe in the freezer for at least 5 minutes, or fill with ice and set aside while you prepare the cocktail.

2

Measure and combine

Add 2 oz Tanqueray gin, 1 oz Aperol, 0.75 oz lime sour, and 1 oz cranberry juice into a cocktail shaker.

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with ice (about 6 medium ice cubes). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker exterior becomes frosty and well chilled.

4

Strain

Discard ice from the chilled glass if used. Double strain the cocktail into the chilled glass: use a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer if available to remove small ice shards and any pulp.

Garnish & Finish

5

Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim and float a dehydrated orange slice on top, or skewer 2–3 fresh cranberries on a pick and lay across the glass. Serve immediately.

Serveware

6

Serve in a chilled rocks glass over no ice for a neat cocktail presentation, or in the chilled coupe. Provide a short stirring spoon or cocktail pick if garnished.
