Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate the Yeast

In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

  2. 2

    Mix the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let the Dough Rise

Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 5

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 6

    Roll Out the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into two balls. Roll out each ball into a 12-inch circle.

  3. 7

    Add Sauce and Cheese

Place each rolled dough onto a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread half the tomato sauce on each, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

  4. 8

    Add Toppings

Top each pizza with pepperoni, bell peppers, onion, black olives, and fresh basil. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.

  5. 9

    Bake the Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

  6. 10

    Slice and Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
