Method

Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined, then form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the grill or skillet to melt the cheese.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, sliced tomato, and onion. Add ketchup and mustard to taste, then top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Directions

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the cut potatoes to the hot oil in batches, frying them for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  4. 9

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and let them drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt to taste while they are still hot.
