Ingredients for Cheeseburger

Method

Directions for Cheeseburger

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help it cook evenly.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patty

Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

Flip the patties and place a slice of American cheese on each patty. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patty is cooked to your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, cut the burger buns in half and toast them on a separate pan or grill until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Cheeseburger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato. Add the cooked beef patty with melted cheese on top, followed by a tablespoon of house sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the cheeseburgers immediately with your choice of sides.
