Method
Prepare the Burger Patty
- 1
Mix Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until all ingredients are well incorporated without overworking the meat.
- 2
Form Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
Grill the Patties
- 3
Preheat Grill
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes.
- 4
Cook Patties
Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- 5
Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
Assemble the Burger
- 6
Add BBQ Sauce
Once the patties are cooked and cheese is melted, remove them from the grill and place them on the bottom half of each burger bun.
- 7
- 8
Complete the Burger
Place the top half of the bun on each burger to complete them. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
