Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them. Chop the onion and mince the garlic.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Onions

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Mushrooms

Add the sliced shiitake, crimini, and portabella mushrooms to the skillet. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil and season with salt and black pepper. Sauté for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and golden brown.

  4. 4

    Add Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.

  5. 5

    Serve with Crostinis

Serve the sautéed mushrooms warm with toasted garlic crostinis on the side.
