Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to ensure even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steak with olive oil and season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a cast-iron skillet over high heat until it's very hot.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the ribeye on the grill or skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or longer for your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice the ribeye against the grain and serve with your choice of sides. Optionally, garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary or thyme.
