Prepare the Filling
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Core and slice the apples, then place them in a large bowl. Toss the apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until well combined. Spread the apple mixture evenly in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Make the Crisp Topping
In a separate bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Melt the butter and mix it into the dry ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apple filling.

Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are bubbly and the topping is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm with a scoop of French vanilla ice cream on top.
