Method
Brownie Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Oven and Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.
- 3
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- 5
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 6
Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares. Serve each brownie warm with a scoop of French vanilla ice cream and a dollop of fresh whipped cream on top.
