Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Orange Honey Butter

In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, honey, and orange zest. Mix until well blended and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Heat the Cast Iron Skillet

Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat until it is very hot. Add the olive oil and allow it to shimmer.

  4. 4

    Sear the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving them, until the skin is crispy and the salmon is cooked halfway up the sides.

  5. 5

    Flip the Salmon

Carefully flip the salmon fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked to your desired doneness.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the salmon from the skillet and place on plates. Top each fillet with a medallion of the orange honey butter and serve immediately.
