Cake Preparation
- 1
Preheat and Prepare Pans
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

- 4
Combine Mixtures
Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and mix until just combined. Gradually stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
- 5
Bake the Cake
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 6
Cool the Cakes
Remove the cakes from the oven and allow them to cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Oreo® Caramel Layer
- 7
Prepare Oreo® Caramel
In a small bowl, mix the crushed Oreo® cookies with the caramel sauce until well combined.
- 8
Assemble the Layer
Once the cakes are cooled, place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread the Oreo® caramel mixture evenly over the top.
- 9
Add Second Layer
Place the second cake layer on top of the Oreo® caramel layer.
Chocolate Sauce
- 10
Make Chocolate Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- 11
Drizzle Sauce
Once the chocolate sauce is ready, drizzle it generously over the top of the assembled cake.
Whipped Cream Topping
- 12
Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip using an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
- 13
Top the Cake
Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the top of the cake for a beautiful finish.
