Fish

Arrabbiata Sauce

Method

Preparing the Fish

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

  2. 2

    Season the Branzino

Rub the branzino with olive oil, salt, and black pepper both inside and out. Place lemon slices inside the cavity of the fish.

  3. 3

    Place in Baking Dish

Place the seasoned branzino on a baking dish lined with parchment paper and sprinkle chopped parsley on top.

Making Arrabbiata Sauce

  1. 4

    Heat Olive Oil

In a saucepan over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

  2. 5

    Sauté Garlic

Add minced garlic cloves to the hot oil and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

  3. 6

    Add Spices and Tomatoes

Stir in crushed red pepper flakes and cook for another minute before adding the canned tomatoes.

  4. 7

    Season the Sauce

Add salt and let the sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. 8

    Finish with Basil

Remove from heat and stir in chopped fresh basil.

Roasting and Serving

  1. 9

    Roast the Fish

Place the baking dish with the branzino in the preheated oven and roast for 25-30 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  2. 10

    Serve with Arrabbiata Sauce

Remove the fish from the oven and plate it. Serve with the arrabbiata sauce drizzled over the top.
