A Spanish original. Vanilla cake with a thin vanilla pudding layer, soaked in a blend of cream, evaporated, and condensed milks and covered in a whipped cream frosting. Drizzled with a wild berry topping.

Bake the Vanilla Cake
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract and milk. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely.

Prepare the Pudding Layer
In a medium bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and 2 cups of milk until thickened. Once the cake is cooled, spread the pudding evenly over the top of the cake.

Make the Whipped Cream
In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the soaked cake.

Add Berry Topping
Top the whipped cream with fresh wild berries. Serve chilled.
