Cheesecake Directions
- 1
Prepare the Crust
In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form the Crust
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes. Remove and let cool.
- 3
Make the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- 4
Add Eggs
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finally, add the flour and mix until just combined.
- 5
Bake the Cheesecake
Pour the filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set and slightly jiggly.
- 6
Cool and Chill
Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool gradually. Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- 7
Serve
Carefully remove the cheesecake from the springform pan. Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy your classic cheesecake!
