Prepare the Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Add the Edamame Pods
Once the water is boiling, carefully add 2 cups of edamame pods to the pot.

Steam the Edamame
Allow the edamame to steam in the boiling water for 5-7 minutes until they are bright green and tender.

Drain and Season
Using a colander, drain the edamame pods and transfer them to a serving bowl. Sprinkle with 1 tsp of sea salt to taste.

Serve
Serve the steamed edamame warm, and enjoy by popping the beans out of the pods.
