Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
Building Umami Flavor

Add Anchovies and Miso
Stir in the chopped anchovy fillets and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they dissolve into the oil. Add the miso paste and soy sauce, stirring until well combined.

Combine with Pasta
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Gradually add reserved pasta water as needed to achieve desired consistency.
Finishing Touches

Add Cherry Tomatoes and Cheese
Fold in the halved cherry tomatoes and grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until everything is well combined and heated through.

Remove from heat and stir in chopped basil. Season with sea salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
