Preparing the Shrimp

Boil the Shrimp
In a large pot, combine 4 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Bring the mixture to a boil.

Cook the Shrimp
Once the water is boiling, add 1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Chill the Shrimp
Remove the shrimp from the pot and place them in an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Let them chill for at least 10 minutes.
Making the Cocktail Sauce

Mix the Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 2 dashes of hot sauce.

Season the Sauce
Stir well and season with salt to taste. Adjust the spiciness and tanginess according to your preference.
Serving

Plate the Shrimp
Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter.

Serve the shrimp with the cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
