Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Lobster

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the whole lobsters and cook for approximately 8 minutes. Remove the lobsters and place them in an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Once cool, carefully crack the shells and remove the meat, taking care to keep it in large pieces.

  2. 2

    Melt the Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Allow it to melt slowly without browning, until it is fully liquid.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Slow-Poach the Lobster

Once the butter is melted, increase the heat slightly, but keep it low enough that the butter does not boil. Gently add the lobster meat to the melted butter, ensuring that it is fully submerged. Cook for 7-10 minutes, or until the lobster is heated through and tender.

Serving

  1. 4

    Plate the Lobster

Carefully remove the lobster from the butter using a slotted spoon and place it on a serving plate. Season with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
