Crab Cakes

Method

Crab Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and chopped green onion. Gently mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Mixture

Add the bread crumbs and beaten egg to the crab mixture. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Gently fold the mixture until the bread crumbs are incorporated without breaking up the crab meat too much. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.

  3. 3

    Fry the Crab Cakes

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the crab cakes in the skillet. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and let drain on paper towels.

Sandwich Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns lightly on a grill or skillet until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a crab cake. Top with sliced tomato, pickles, and fresh sweet pineapple. Finally, cover with the top half of the bun.

  3. 6

    Serve

Serve the crab cake sandwiches warm with your choice of dipping sauce or side salad.
