Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Lettuce
Wash the iceberg lettuce thoroughly under cold running water. Remove any wilted outer leaves, then chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Place the chopped lettuce in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Prepare the Apples
Wash the Granny Smith apples under cold water. Core and slice the apples into thin wedges or bite-sized pieces. You can leave the skin on for added color and nutrients. Add the apple slices to the bowl with the lettuce.
Crouton Addition
- 3
Add Goldfish Crackers
Sprinkle the cup of Goldfish crackers over the top of the lettuce and apple mixture. This will add a fun crunch and flavor to the salad.
Dressing and Tossing
- 4
Dress the Salad
Pour your choice of salad dressing over the salad. Start with half a cup and add more if desired, to taste.
- 5
Toss the Salad
Using salad tongs or clean hands, gently toss the salad until all ingredients are well combined and coated with dressing. Be careful not to crush the Goldfish crackers.
